About me
Hi there! My name is Tarah and I grew up in Manila, Philippines. I have been blessed to travel and live abroad at an early age. I come from a closed-knit Filipino family and we used to live in the middle east in the 1980s. Fast forward to 20 years later and I found myself living in my own apartment, paying my own bills and working two jobs in Los Angeles, California. I met my Dutch husband there after which we decided to permanently move here in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
That's my story in a nutshell. As an immigrant, I have now lived most of my life outside my home country and have gained a better understanding of various cultures and practices. There's still so much more to learn, so much to understand. And for sure, marami din po akong makikilalang mga kababayan (I'll meet more fellow Filipinos along the way). So I am here to share and write about my experiences as an immigrant mom in the hope that I can inform, inspire and influence others who are on the same journey as I am. Maraming salamat po! Thank you for stopping by and see you again soon!
